Esperanto para español hablantes - Lección 1

Esperanto is a new invented language, nowadays many books lile The Quixote has been translated to this new language.

This article is about the language. For other uses, see Esperanto (disambiguation).
Esperanto
Esperanto is the most widely spoken constructed international auxiliary language. Its name derives from Doktoro Esperanto (Dr. Hopeful), the pseudonym under which L. L. Zamenhof published the first book detailing Esperanto, the Unua Libro, in 1887. Zamenhof's goal was to create an easy-to-learn and politically neutral language that would serve as a universal second language to foster peace and international understanding.

According to Wikipedia:

Esperanto is the only constructed language with native speakers, that is, people who learned it from their parents as one of their native languages. Estimates range from 10,000 to two million additional active or fluent speakers. Usage is particularly high in eastern and northern Europe, eastern Asia, Brazil, and Iran. A World Congress of Esperanto was organized in France in 1905, and since then has been held in various countries every year apart from during the world wars. Although no country has adopted it officially, Esperanto was recommended by the French Academy of Sciences in 1921, was recognized by UNESCO in 1954, and is currently the language of instruction of a university in San Marino. There is evidence that learning Esperanto may provide a superior foundation for learning languages in general, and some primary schools teach it as preparation for learning other foreign languages.

Howard Gardner of The Multiple Intelligence Theory

Gardner's Theory of Multiple Intelligences

Paranormal Phenomenon

Like believing on God, you may believe or not in Paranormal Phenomeno, also in UFO'S. Every day, more and more people assure to know about a phenomeno they say is not natural. There are many different versions of this, flying objects, moving objects and most common is the sounds, chilly sounds coming from nowhere are very common, but also the ghosts. Grandparents used to tell scary stories to grandchildren, now, television and movies use this fear for saling movies and earning millions and millions of dollars. Recently low costs movies like Paranormal Activity won excellent critics from experts and millions in sales. Is this true? Is there a path between deads and lives? or this is just the way we answer the uncontestable answers of life?

According to Wikipedia a definition of the word is: “Paranormal” has been in the English language since at least 1920.[7][8] It consists of two parts: para and normal. In most definitions of the word paranormal, it is described as anything that is beyond or contrary to what is deemed scientifically possible.[9] The definition implies that the scientific explanation of the world around us is the 'normal' part of the word and 'para' makes up the above, beyond, beside, contrary, or against part of the meaning.

Ghosts and other spiritual entities

A ghost is a manifestation of the spirit or soul of a person.[10] Alternative theories expand on that idea and include belief in the ghosts of deceased animals. Sometimes the term "ghost" is used synonymously with any spirit or demon[11], however in popular usage the term typically refers to a deceased person's spirit.

The belief in ghosts as souls of the departed is closely tied to the concept of animism, an ancient belief which attributed souls to everything in nature.[12] As the nineteenth-century anthropologist James Frazer explained in his classic work, The Golden Bough, souls were seen as the creature within that animated the body.[13] Although the human soul was sometimes symbolically or literally depicted in ancient cultures as a bird or other animal, it was widely held that the soul was an exact reproduction of the body in every feature, even down to clothing the person wore. This is depicted in artwork from various ancient cultures, including such works as the Egyptian Book of the Dead, which shows deceased people in the afterlife appearing much as they did before death, including the style of dress.

A widespread belief concerning ghosts is that they are composed of a misty, airy, or subtle material. Anthropologists speculate that this may also stem from early beliefs that ghosts were the person within the person, most noticeable in ancient cultures as a person's breath, which upon exhaling in colder climates appears visibly as a white mist.[12] This belief may have also fostered the metaphorical meaning of "breath" in certain languages, such as the Latin spiritus and the Greek pneuma, which by analogy became extended to mean the soul. In the Bible,God is depicted as animating Adam with a breath.

Numerous theories have been proposed by scientists to provide normal explanations for ghost sightings.[12] Although the evidence for ghosts is largely anecdotal, the belief in ghosts throughout history has remained widespread and persistent.

[edit]Extraterrestrial life and UFOs

The possibility of extraterrestrial life is not, by itself, a paranormal subject. Many scientists are actively engaged in the search for unicellular life within the solar system, carrying out studies on the surface of Mars and examining meteors that have fallen to Earth.[14] Projects such asSETI are conducting an astronomical search for radio activity that would show evidence of intelligent life outside the solar system.[15]Scientific theories of how life developed on Earth allow for the possibility that life developed on other planets as well. The paranormal aspect ofextraterrestrial life centers largely around the belief in unidentified flying objects and the phenomena said to be associated with them.

Early in the history of UFO culture, believers divided themselves into two camps. The first held a rather conservative view of the phenomena, interpreting it as unexplained occurrences that merited serious study. They began calling themselves "ufologists" in the 1950s and felt that logical analysis of sighting reports would validate the notion of extraterrestrial visitation.[12]

The second camp consisted of individuals who coupled ideas of extraterrestrial visitation with beliefs from existing quasi-religious movements. These individuals typically were enthusiasts of occultism and the paranormal. Many had backgrounds as active Theosophists, Spiritualists, or were followers of other esoteric doctrines. In contemporary times, many of these beliefs have coalesced into New Age spiritual movements.[12]

Both secular and spiritual believers describe UFOs as having abilities beyond what are considered possible according to known aerodynamicconstraints and physical laws. The transitory events surrounding many UFO sightings also limits the opportunity for repeat testing required by the scientific method. Acceptance of UFO theories by the larger scientific community is further hindered by the many possible hoaxesassociated with UFO culture.

In our country, people said they have seen UFO in different parts of the country, such as San Jose or Arenal Lake, also near to different volcanoes and in the Chirripo Peak.

MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCES

For all those, like me, trying to teach whatever I am trying to teach, it is imprescindible to know about Howard Gardner and his studies about Intelligences. He figure out that every person has more than one intelligences, that as a matter of fact there are about of 8 different skills or intelligences we have but that only some are really used to learn or work or our daily activities.

A very interesting biography can be reading in wikepedia, just copy this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Howard_Gardner and you will learn much more.

Howard Earl Gardner was born on July 11, 1943 Penssylvania, he studied at Harvard Graduated School of Education at Harvard University as a psychology. He is best known for his Theory of Multiple Intelligences.

Some of this multiple intelligences are nexts: (Taken from: http://www.infed.org/thinkers/gardner.htm)

Linguistic intelligence involves sensitivity to spoken and written language, the ability to learn languages, and the capacity to use language to accomplish certain goals. This intelligence includes the ability to effectively use language to express oneself rhetorically or poetically; and language as a means to remember information. Writers, poets, lawyers and speakers are among those that Howard Gardner sees as having high linguistic intelligence.

Logical-mathematical intelligence consists of the capacity to analyze problems logically, carry out mathematical operations, and investigate issues scientifically. In Howard Gardner's words, it entails the ability to detect patterns, reason deductively and think logically. This intelligence is most often associated with scientific and mathematical thinking.

Musical intelligence involves skill in the performance, composition, and appreciation of musical patterns. It encompasses the capacity to recognize and compose musical pitches, tones, and rhythms. According to Howard Gardner musical intelligence runs in an almost structural parallel to linguistic intelligence.

Bodily-kinesthetic intelligence entails the potential of using one's whole body or parts of the body to solve problems. It is the ability to use mental abilities to coordinate bodily movements. Howard Gardner sees mental and physical activity as related.

Spatial intelligence involves the potential to recognize and use the patterns of wide space and more confined areas.

Interpersonal intelligence is concerned with the capacity to understand the intentions, motivations and desires of other people. It allows people to work effectively with others. Educators, salespeople, religious and political leaders and counsellors all need a well-developed interpersonal intelligence.

Intrapersonal intelligence entails the capacity to understand oneself, to appreciate one's feelings, fears and motivations. In Howard Gardner's view it involves having an effective working model of ourselves, and to be able to use such information to regulate our lives.

To be a better student, to be a better teacher or just to be a better professional we should take in count all this skills we may have or not, but in every case, every intelligence can be developed in order of improving our professional level.
